Project Process

Throughout the project, collaborators Kathy and Meg became further connected to the intimate details of the building. While sound recordings were taken of the spaces, and onomatopoeic words were captured on the architectural plans, patterns and textures also beckoned documentation. Photographs below were shot with a Holga on 120 medium format film.

The fleeting unintended marks within the Print Room’s washing bay captured the history of activity within the space. These images were enlarged and projected back into the washing bay on the night of ‘A Grand Farewell’ alongside recorded sounds of it’s use. Photographs below were shot on a Nikon Fe2 with Macro lense, 35mm film.
